Drunk man wants to let cat in at night: The whole truth comes to light in the morning

Queen Creek (Arizona/USA) - Some people are simply not sane at night - especially when alcohol is involved. A woman from the USA had to come to this realization when she gave her partner a simple task and he failed miserably. But at least it gave users on social media something to laugh about ...

Courtney Henkin, who lives with her family in Queen Creek in the US state of Arizona , had asked her husband to let her cat Larry into the house at night so that he could spend the night in warmth and, above all, safety.

When the American woman woke up the next morning, it quickly became clear that something had gone very wrong. It was clearly not her beloved velvet paw standing in front of her, but a completely different one.

"If your husband was a little too drunk last night and let the wrong cat into our house, LOL ..." Courtney wrote on Instagram in a video showing the moment she realized that another cat had spent the night in the house instead of her own.

She discovered cat Larry shortly afterwards on the patio, where the animal had obviously been sleeping on an outdoor couch.

The two furry friends cannot actually be confused visually: While Larry had a solid gray coat, the "wrong" cat had beige and black spots. Apparently the alcohol had clouded the resident's senses to such an extent that he had not noticed this clear difference.

Incidentally, the other cat is not completely unknown. Courtney writes that it is her neighbor's pet and that it is "super friendly". Larry and the neighbor's cat are also "best friends".

Nevertheless, Larry must have been a little surprised that her buddy, of all people, had been let in while she herself was standing in front of a locked door at her home.

All's well that ends well: the mix-up was cleared up, and the video of it received more than 580,000 clickson Instagram and caused thousands of laughs.
