Houston (Texas/USA) - Southwest Airlines passengers had an unforgettable experience, even though their plane didn't even take off. The reason for this was a single woman who suddenly freaked out.

Footage of several passengers shows the surreal scene that took place on the plane, which was supposed to fly from Houston to Phoenix, as 12 News reports.

Shortly before the plane was due to take off, a woman suddenly ran across the aisle towards the cockpit. She screamed and demanded to get off the plane.

As the plane then made its way to the runway, the situation finally escalated.

"She started jumping up and down and screaming at the top of her lungs," other passengers recalled.

But that wasn't all: a short time later, she began to undress, standing naked and screaming in the middle of the aisle.

The take-off was then aborted. An employee tried to throw a blanket over the woman while she was taken off the plane.

Local police told NBC that they received a call around 3:30 p.m. (local time). The woman was eventually escorted off the plane and had to undergo a medical examination.

One possible reason for her behavior: According to another eyewitness, the woman shouted that she was bipolar during her outburst. According to the police, the woman was not reported to the police.
