Vacation ends in disaster: Passengers homeless after JetBlue flight cancellation!
Turks and Caicos Islands - A flight was delayed for almost 24 hours , but the passengers were not helped. Instead, they were expelled from the airport - some even had to sleep on the street!

According to the New York Post, passengers were told by JetBlue airline staff that they would not be allowed to stay at the airport and wait.
Among the travelers were many families with young children who had to find last-minute accommodation on the heavily touristy island.
"We kept asking: Where should we go? What should we do? How can you put us out on the street like dogs in a foreign country?" reported Brett, one of the vacationers.
He had repeatedly asked the crew members what he should do, but received no answer. He had to pay around 970 euros for accommodation big enough for his family of ten.
Passengers had to sleep on camp beds outside the airport

"The Airbnb itself was fine, but the neighborhood was like something out of a horror movie. (...) Wild dogs were chasing the cab as we drove past in the area," he added.
For passengers who could not find accommodation that evening, several camp beds were set up outside the airport - where they were to spend the night.
"Putting people out on the street like animals was definitely something I will never forget for the rest of my life," said another passenger.
In a statement, JetBlue said the significant delay was due to the "status of air traffic control and long holding patterns in the area." The airline apologized for the inconvenience.
"Although the delay was caused by circumstances beyond JetBlue's control, we understand the impact. (...) For this reason, we have provided instructions to affected customers to submit refund requests for legitimate expenses (...)," JetBlue explained.
As a "gesture of goodwill", the airline also presented each passenger with a travel credit of approximately 194 euros. One day later, they were finallyable to leave the Caribbean islands .
