Traveler has a mishap, then plane has to turn back
Paris (France) - An Air France flight that was supposed to depart from Paris to the Caribbean island group of Guadeloupe was forced to return to the departure airport. This was decided by the crew for safety reasons after one of the passengers lost something.

The plane had only just reached the Atlantic Ocean last Friday when the 375 passengers had to return to Paris, as The Independent reports.
They should have arrived in Pointe-à-Pitre after a nine-hour flight, but instead they landed back at Paris-Orly airport after more than two hours.
The reason for this was a passenger's mishap: he had lost his cell phone on the plane. Even after a long search, the device could not be found. The crew therefore decided to turn back as a precaution.
The airline has not yet revealed the exact reason for this decision.
The emergency reversal is probably due to the dangers associated with devices that have a lithium-ion battery.
These batteries are often used in smartphones or power banks. If damaged or overheated, they pose a serious fire risk.
