Sudden smoke in the plane: passengers have to flee via emergency slide
Atlanta (USA) - Smoke suddenly developed in an airplane of the US airline Delta Airlines during the flight. The plane had to make an emergency landing and the passengers had to be evacuated.

Yesterday, Monday morning, the flight had to be unexpectedly diverted back to the airport, as reported by"CNN".
The plane was actually supposed to fly from Atlanta (Georgia) to Columbia (South Carolina).
During the flight, however, "fumes" were detected inside the Boeing 717.
Due to the sudden development of smoke, it was decided to bring the plane back to the airport of origin immediately.
The 94 passengers on board had to be evacuated after landing using the emergency slides.
Nobody knew what had happened

A passenger who was on the plane later told CNN that it was even difficult to breathe at times.
Another said the plane began to fill with smoke just five to ten minutes after takeoff.
"A few of us passengers started wondering what was going on. People started shouting 'smoke, smoke, smoke'," he recalled.
According to him, the passengers were taken to a conference room after the evacuation while they tried to find the cause of the "haze". However, the passengers were not given an answer as to what had happened.
Delta itself said that it wanted to help people book new flights to their respective destinations.
