The plane was actually supposed to land in Marrakesh (Morocco), as reported by"The Sun". During the flight, however, one passenger became increasingly conspicuous.

He was wearing a T-shirt with snakes on it and apparently imagined that he could really see the animals .

The man became increasingly aggressive and threatening. "Snakes on the plane! We have to land!" he is said to have shouted again and again.

Due to the tense situation, the pilots finally decided to land the plane in Faro (Portugal) for the time being. Police officers were already waiting there and came on board shortly after landing to take the conspicuous passenger away.

"It sounds funny for a passenger to shout 'snakes on a plane' but it was incredibly frightening for the families on the EasyJet flight," one passenger told The Sun.

"He became violent and abusive and made threats. He intimidated staff and passengers," he continued. He suspected that the troublemaker was under the influence of alcohol or other drugs .
