New Smyrna Beach (Florida/USA) - A stroke of luck! The occupants of a single-engine small plane in the US state of Florida had several guardian angels after a nasty crash landing.

According to the fire department, the accident happened on the west side of New Smyrna Beach Airport.

However, no one was injured in the crash around 80 kilometers northeast of the city of Orlando, the local fire department announced on the social media platform Facebook - and also published a photo of the Cessna 172 aircraft involved in the accident.

Looking at the scene of the accident, it is almost a miracle that both the pilot and fellow passengers made it out of the damaged wreckage unscathed.

It is not yet known how the accident occurred on Saturday morning (local time). The Federal Aviation Administration, which suspects a technical defect as the cause of the crash, has begun an investigation into the matter.

According to the report, the flight captain made an emergency call shortly after take-off, stating that there were engine problems on board.

The plane then broke through an adjacent fence on the runway before coming to a halt upside down on a road.
