Melbourne - Dramatic scenes took place at Avalon Airport in Melbourne ( Australia) : A 17-year-old was overpowered at the last second when he tried to get onto the plane with a weapon.

Today, Thursday, a frightening incident occurred on a plane bound for Sydney, as reported by news.com.au.
Thanks to one man, a major accident was prevented: Barry Clark, a sheep shearer from Echuca.
Clark told Australian news channel The Project that the boy was the last person to board the Jetstar plane.
The 17-year-old pretended to be a maintenance worker but was not allowed to board because an airline employee wanted to see proof first.
Clark heard the teenager getting upset at first - then everything suddenly happened very quickly.
The situation threatened to escalate

"He got angrier and angrier, I looked up and within a few seconds I saw the barrel of a shotgun," Clark recalled.
When he then saw the gun being pointed at the employee, he knew he had to act. So he slowly approached the boy.
"I knew that if I moved to the side and pushed the gun away from him, if it went off at all, it would fire against the side where no one was," he said.
Clark managed to restrain the potential attacker along with the pilot until the police arrived and were able to arrest him. He was taken into custody for further questioning. During a search, ammunition was also found on him.
According tothe police , he had slipped through a hole in the fence and tried to bypass the security check in order to board the plane armed.
