Engine on fire: Plane has to make an emergency landing after bird crash!
New York (USA) - A dramatic incident occurred during an American Airlines flight when a bird got caught in the plane's engine - necessitating an emergency landing!

Yesterday evening, shortly after 19:20, the plane took off from LaGuardia Airport in New York City .
A flight of around two hours was planned, but everything turned out differently, as the New York Post reports.
The plane didn't even make it out of the city: instead, it had to be diverted and make an emergency landing at JFK International Airport.
The reason for the sudden change was a bird that had got into one of the engines. This caused considerable damage, rendering it unusable.

A video shared on Platform X shows the dramatic moment: the bird was sucked in by the engine and burst into flames before the plane tilted slightly to one side.
One passenger described the moment of shock: "I was right next to the wing and saw it. I saw two flames in the sky. I thought I was going to die. I prayed. I thought I was going to die for about 30 seconds."
Despite the great shock, the emergency landing succeeded without further complications. American Airlines announced in a statement that no one was injured in the incident.
All passengers were accommodated in a hotel, as it was no longer possible to continue the flight that day. The journey is scheduled to continue early Friday morning.
